About Edwina Mulvey
Welcome to my Website
I have studied psychology and social science with the Open University and qualified with an Advanced Diploma in Child Development in 1999 and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in 2000.
The therapies I utilise are sometimes referred to as the 'talking therapies', namely: Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Existential Therapy, Adlerian therapy, Parts Therapy and Hypnotherapy. Some problems necessitate an eclectic approach and I may use a combination of approaches.
My values
Professionalism
I expect, from myself, the very highest level of professionalism in all of my dealings with clients. The result is a quality of service that inspires confidence in my practise and all I do.
Trust
As a foundation principle in any relationship, trust forms a very important part of the psychotherapy process. It is of the utmost importance that this trust and confidentiality exists throughout my dealings with clients.
Results
As outlined in many of the therapies which I use, it is important that myself and my clients are truly results oriented in our sessions. The 'talking therapies' are designed to draw out the results over time. This is very much a team effort.
